Law No 9,615 (Pelé Bill)

Sanctioned on 24 March 1998, Law No 9,916, commonly known as the Pelé Bill establishes standards for several issues related to how sport is conducted in Brazil. Among these issues, the Pelé Bill establishes the transfer of resources from the federal lottery to the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB), the Ministry of Sport and the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC).
